Your product may be covered under the manufacturers’ warranty or extended warranty. In some circumstances, the manufacturer or insurer may not cover the inspection/repair costs. If this is the case, our standard pricing structure will apply.

All repairs have a 3 month warranty for the call out and parts. This does not cover any unrelated fault to the original repair. If it is deemed to be the case that the fault is not related the full inspection/subsequent labour/parts costs will be required.

If we call out to your address as arranged and we are unable to attend the product on two or more occasions, you will need to pay another call out charge before we make another attempt to call out again. Alternatively you can arrange for your product to be transported to our workshop at no charge.

We will require the product to be made accessible/easily removable for our engineers before we can proceed with the inspection/repair to the product. Should the appliance not be accessible or easily removable at the time of the appointment, a further appointment will be required and a second call out cost may be incurred.

Upon our initial visit to the customer property, an assessment of the appliance and surrounding area shall be carried out. Photographs may be taken of any existing damage found during the assessment. Whilst we will take care to install or remove appliances without damage to flooring or adjacent fittings, we cannot be liable for such damage unless it was due to our negligence. Any damage must be reported to the engineer at the time of the visit or within 24 hours to the Customer Service Manager.

Emsted Ltd do not accept liability for any losses including but not limited to food loss and laundry costs which you may incur before, during or after the repair process.

The call out and inspection charge are required at the time of booking the call. All parts will require payment before they are ordered as parts are non refundable from the suppliers. Upon acceptance of the repair quotation, 50% of the labour fee is required to secure the repair. The final balance is due upon completion, at the time of repair.

If the cost of parts is less than £30*, we will continue with the repair without a quotation and the full cost will be due on completion. Part costs above £30* will be quoted before ordering.

On occasion, further parts may be required after the original part has been fitted and you will receive a new quotation. You will be advised of this possibility on initial quotation and will be required to pay for the previous quotations if you do not accept the full cost.
